Georgia Veterans State Park boasts an impressive variety of amenities and facilities, including Lake Blackshear Resort & Golf Club. As the name implies the park was established to honor Georgia's military veterans. This is reflected in the theme of the park's museum. It displays medals, uniforms, weapons, vehicles, aircraft and other items that span the time from the Revolutionary War through the Gulf War.
